Its great but if you dont have musics IT GETS REALLY BORING they should put 2 or 3 musics in the game so it gets better

Id bought ZR5K and was waiting to but ZR, but I ended up downloading it after it became fremium. I love ZR, I had never run before and this gets me the kicks to get going. But I hate this way of payment! I would very much prefer pay a few dollars once than having a monthly signature - I keep regreting not had bought this when I bought ZR5K years ago. But I have to admit, if you are someone who wouldnt pay for this you will be very satisfied with the app (maybe the developers could enable some within app purchases - for Interval Training, Airdrops and season 1 to 4).

Try it - I wont waste time advertising this app

I enjoy running on my own, this app adds humor to that and gives me goals! I can listen to the "radio" while achieving an objective in game and getting any sort of cardio training I desire! Strongly recommended app! Prepare for the apocalypse!

Really loved Zombies, Run, and I still do. I didnt mind spending money for it, because it was just awesome, with lots of innovative features that kept you motivated. However, since the game went freemium there had been plenty of changes. Some cosmetic changes I do not really care about. But the pile of cool features is almost completely gone. For month you are staring at "Coming Soon" banners in ZombieLink, where you once where able to look up stats for every of your runs, with an interactive map, even showing you the areas, where zombies chased you and what songs you were hearing. You were able to manage you base from there, look up the gathered supplies and items, collect achievements and replay the mission audio, if you missed something while on the run. For 10 month the only thing they managed to implement so far is a list of your runs and a static map, just showing the path you ran, which some info about the story content. The basic concept of Zombies, Run is still working and great (I seem to be one of the lucky users, who didnt experience any severe bugs), but the features, which made tracking your runs so much fun, are almost completely gone. This particularly bothers me, because basicly this app got more expensive and (even if you bought it while back as a one time purchase) youve got to pay annually for the pro membership. As enthusiastic as I was, when I purchased the app back in 2013, Im now kind of disappointed of what it has become. If there are no improvements soon, Ill probably wont renew my membership. Bummer... Also: Why is there still no heart rate monitor support? :-/

I love this app and its Couch-to-5K companion, theyve made an avid runner out of someone who never thought she would enjoy running. The only downside is, as a beginning runner, its tempting to overdo it in order to hear another episode or to listen to Radio Abel! (But I cant really blame the developers for my pulled tendons, thats my own darn fault.)

Feedback: Loading the mission overview screens and run logs is quite slow on my iPhone 5. But what matters is that the running experience itself is flawless. This is the best running apps have ever used. Its a fantastic way to stay motivated rivaled to go out and run. My only real complaint is that it would be nice if the story would wait until the end of my song rather than interrupt it. Ive tried to adjust the clip spacing but my music still gets interrupted. Well worth the cost. Keep up the good work 1260 km run so far, raise the gates.

In the future Zombies Run will be cited as one of the earliest examples of a new product category that came into mainstream popularity around 2017. Gamification is not enough - to hold your attention, apps will need to start telling you stories. Simple games are good at motivating you to chase results, but feel hollow after a few weeks. A story is that rarest of things - an intrinsic motivator; the fun of zombies run is the journey, not the destination. Even if you stop caring about running, even after the half-marathon is done, even if you feel lazy... so long as the story is well told, you will keep coming back. Its a powerful weapon in the arsenal of motivators that will prevent you from complacency. Its a voice calling to you in the dark saying "if you can hear this then the best thing you can do is.... Run!"

Im a walker, not a runner. But this app works well for walkers like me. Its addictive and helps challenge me a lot!
