This app is the best running companion out there. Get it. You wont regret it. Play a mission a day or do multiple, build your base, have fun. Its a great motivation for me to run daily knowing I have this app to look forward to. The only criticism I have, and this is truly minor, is that sometimes I wish base-building affected your runs in small ways. Maybe unlocked new missions or content. Thats all I have to critique about this thing!

I use this app every time I run and it never fails to energize me. I always look forward to hearing the chatter from my favorite characters, and the story is very compelling. The membership is well worth the fee, also. Ive been subscribed for several months and not once have I regretted it.

I have loved this app since season one.

I hated running but decided to give this a try. It was so worth it! The missions are interesting and make my workout like a story. I dont even feel like Im working out at all! Hate running like I did? Need something to help your workout seem more fun? Get this app!!

I started using this app when I was getting bored of my playlist while cycling. It is very well produced, and stimulates your brain while you work out your body. I also supported the developers by purchasing the book, and it is well worth the investment. Ultimately, whether you are running, cycling, or working out in the gym, this app will serve you well.

I cant rave enough about this app. Ive been using it for several years now, and the fun never gets old. When I first started, I went from from barely doing 3 mile runs to running over 10 miles at a time (the 2nd time I ever used the app!) just because I wanted to collect more supplies and get chased one more time. Its also the best motivation Ive ever had to improve my runs. Ill be at the end of a sprint (I do a lot of walk/jog/sprint/walk), and just when I think Ill die if I dont stop, I hear, "Warning: Zombies detected", and all of a sudden I can feel the adrenaline kick in. I love to run outdoors in a country area that is a perfect setting for zombies, so it feels so real when I let myself really get into it. My neighbors have to think Im insane when they see me running for my life down the street. Its still fun on a treadmill, too. The only thing that bugs me sometimes is when app features arent working properly after an update, but I know thats how apps go these days. Like, just when I have chases figured out and controlled, the next time I do an update, they dont work the same anymore. Or, I set it to 4 or 5 chases per hour, and I only get one. But whatever. In a "real" zombie world, I cant exactly choose when I want to be chased, so it just keeps me on my toes and alert at all times. I wrote a review on my "HeathersHalloween dot com" blog a few years ago (so its a little dated), and although I dont maintain that site as much as I should, I do have a list of some really great tunes that are perfect for running from zoms. I have a few suggestions that would make this app even more fun and motivating, but its still awesome AF without my dream improvements.

Best exercise app I have used. I love the stories and it keeps me motivated. Down over 45pounds.

Ive been with this app from its beginning. It started out great and gets better with every update. This is a complex, high quality app with great customer service support, consistent improvements through updates, and worth every penny it cost to purchase it. Ill probably save that much and more in doctors bills from all of the exercise Ive gotten while using this app. Kind of pricey for an app? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely!

Its a great app if youre running outside on streets and whatnot. The story is interesting so far and when the zombies chase you its gets you motivated. However, if youre on an indoor track, just forget about it. The GPS cant keep up and you get caught by the zombies every time. For example, the other day I ran for 35 minutes on an indoor track. I estimate that I ran about 3 miles or so. The GPS only tracked me for 0.7 miles. Other than the indoor track issue, this app is fantastic!

Excited for this new update. Loved the Hamilton homage with The Ballad of Abel Township. Ha!

This app is everything developers should aspire toward. It fulfills an important need (keeping you motivated while you work out!) with excellent quality, design, and convenience. I wish I could buy Christmas presents for the people who make this app. They have improved my quality of life over the past three years in immeasurable ways. I dont know if Id "be a runner" without them. Also, sweet Hamilton homage, guys.

I love zombies, and Ive been trying to motivate myself to run regularly since I first did C25K last year. I had a bit of a gap so I picked up this and the companion Zombies Run 5K app (which could use some updates to bring it up to iOS10 and integrate with HealthKit, but is still useful). The story is a good way to zone out and get your run (or walk) in. The main app does integrate well with HealthKit. The watch app just had an update to make it a little more feature full. I love all the geeky references as you go through the missions.

awesome game, got me and my sister outside and running, eventually started competitions on whose base could be better. Ill recommend to novice runners or people who find themselves hard pressed at starting running and keeping up with it. you start to actually care about the fate of these virtual characters and the fate of your base.

A half mile later you realize this piece of crap has decided to pause at .10 miles. Not paying for that mess.
